Matthew Callans is a classically trained musician with a deep command of music theory and composition. His real passion lives at the intersection of jazz, blues, classic hip hop, and rock & roll; where structure meets spontaneity.
Based in Encinitas and serving all of North County San Diego, Matthew offers two distinct experiences depending on the scale and energy of your event. As a solo performer, he brings a mellow, intimate keyboard presence perfectly suited to cocktail hours, corporate receptions, and private dinners; think warm harmonics and the quiet elegance of a 1960s jazz speakeasy.
For larger gatherings and private parties that call for something more, he performs with COYO, his four-piece band, delivering a full-band sound rooted in psychedelic jazz, blues, and rock.
